Pro Am 2022 at Adare Manor

A Captivating Tournament in Aid of Charity

The JP McManus Pro-Am teed off for the first time in 1990 at Limerick Golf Club, with the aim of raising much-needed funds for charities and organisations in the Mid-West region.

Over the course of the next 15 years the Pro-Am attracted some of the biggest names from world golf – multiple winnersfrom the professional tours, former World Number One’s and a host of Ryder Cup stars, past and present. In 2005, with an increasing profile, the Pro-Am moved to its new home, Adare Manor. The tournament continued to go from strength to strength and in 2010 spectators were treated to an ever-increasing line-up of world class golfers from both the PGA and European Tours. Tiger Woods, Lee Westwood, Ernie Els, Dustin Johnson, Martin Kaymer, Jim Furyk, José María Olazábal, Thomas Bjørn, Adam Scott, Justin Rose, Henrik Stenson, J.B. Holmes, Ian Poulter as well as Ireland’s Rory McIlroy, Padraig Harrington, Shane Lowry, Graham McDowell and Paul McGinley were among the who’s who of the world’s best players.

In this years 2022 Pro-Am over 40,000 spectators attended each day of the JP McManus Pro-Am. It was a great success with many of the worlds top professional golfers taking to the stage. Congratulations to Xander Schauffele who continued to play exceptional golf on both days to capture the 2022 JP McManus Pro-Am title, holding off exceptional competition from the biggest names in the golfing world. In second place, world #9 Sam Burns excelled on day two, carding eight birdies to finish an impressive one shot back from Schauffele. There were magnificent performances from a host of European and US players, including 2019 Open Champion, Shane Lowry, who finished as the top Irish player and in third overall on 8-under par while Padraig Harrington matched new records producing a birdie-birdie finish to equal the new course record on 64 set by Xander Schauffele the previous day.

We would like to thank everyone involved in this magical event and we were delighted to be part of raising much needed funds for various charities in the mid west region.
