When you arrive here, hand in hand with the person you love best in the world, you will feel it. We don’t use the word magic lightly, but there isn’t another word that does it justice.

It swirls through the woodlands and drifts over the rolling fields. It gathers in the hidden corners of the secret gardens and settles on the stone walls and turrets of the Manor House. The whole house is encapsulated by magic.

The decades of love, happiness and memories that engulphed the house and can be felt in spirt the second you open the doors. If these walls could talk, they’d tell you a tale of extravagant romance, unquenchable dreams, and lifetimes of devotion.

Our wedding at Adare Manor was truly beyond everything and anything we could ever have dreamed of. From the second we stepped foot in the Manor on our wedding venue search – we were completely enchanted…”

Love built Adare Manor.  

While the estate has centuries of history behind it, this magical Manor House came from the hearts of two people who were very much in love: the second Earl of Dunraven and his cherished wife, his Lady Caroline.

The gothic fairytale style of the house and all the lavish details that make this place so special had their origin in the many trips they took together. In the early years of their marriage, they travelled through Europe, exploring the great châteaux and cathedrals they saw along the way, and dreaming of the day they might build their own magnificent castle home.

So it began. Designing and sketching, meeting with world-renowned architects, and bit by bit, building the new Manor House around their original family home.

It was an all-absorbing project that spanned generations and a love that lived on even after the Earl and Lady Caroline were gone. Their children took up the project they had started and completed the magnificent house and grounds.

Two hundred years on, the love story that started it all is still present at Adare Manor, still lending its magic to the wedding celebrations that happen here.
