Inspired by nature and architecture, our chocolates are crafted with a sense of place and heritage in our newly restored and expanded, Harry Lowe’s cottage. Once inside guests can indulge in a unique retail experience, sampling the finest artisanal chocolate whilst viewing chocolatiers at work in the open display kitchen.

The dark palette of the interiors with an abundance of oak bespoke joinery coupled with deliberately low lighting, heightens the senses. The intimate space is anchored by a long, gleaming display island of green marble evocative of the Irish landscape it sits within.

From captivating launch events to curated partnerships with renowned chocolatiers, and a calendar brimming with themed experiences, Harry Lowe Chocolate promises an enchanting blend of tradition and innovation.

In a small stone cottage, nestled in the grounds of a great Manor House, there once lived a man named Harry Lowe.

By trade, Harry was a humble groundsman. At heart, he was an artist. Adare Manor was his canvas. Tending the gardens, fields and forests, his work honoured the majestic Irish landscapes and the gothic grandeur of Adare Manor.

The details of Harry’s daily life are lost to time, but his dedication to his craft, his passion for the natural world, and his uncompromising eye for beauty left an indelible impression. His reputation lives on, as steadfast as the stone cottage which still bears his name. Now, we are honoured to carry on that name and its legacy of craftsmanship, expertise, and devotion.

Harry Lowe chocolates are handmade here in his cottage. Hand-poured into polished moulds, hand-shaped with meticulous precision, or hand-painted with delicate artistry, each chocolate is a miniature masterpiece of unique flavour, texture, and form, inspired by the natural beauty and soaring architecture of Adare Manor.

Whether you are building a castle, a cottage, or a single piece of chocolate, everything begins with the materials. Magnificent raw chocolate from France and Switzerland. Organic dried fruits from Mediterranean Europe. Rich, creamy Irish milk and butter (and even a touch of Irish whiskey). All sustainably sourced from eco-certified artisans, to protect the earth we love. All treated with reverence and infused with joyful creativity, to bring you a luxury chocolate experience beyond everything.

A seasoned French chocolatier hailing from Toulouse, Cedric began his career in chocolate-making spending four years with Christian Camprini, renowned for its commitment to perfection and quality.

Following this, he spent five years as a chocolate chef at Hotel du Cap Eden Roc in Antibes, showcasing his talent for crafting exquisite treats. Cedric then served as a pastry chef at prestigious French palaces in Courchevel, Val d’Isere, and Bastide de Gordes in Luberon for three years.

Now, Cedric embarks on a new adventure at Adare Manor, leading the opening of Harry Lowe Chocolate in Autumn 2024 where he promises to deliver the highest quality chocolate delights for our guests.

Harry Lowe chocolates are handcrafted on the Adare Manor grounds, in our historic cottage-turned chocolatier, using exquisite ingredients sourced with care, treated with reverence and infused with joyful creativity. Each chocolate is a miniature masterpiece of unique flavour, texture, and form, inspired by the natural beauty and soaring architecture of Adare Manor.
