The Afternoon Tea experience at Adare Manor is particularly special to us. Served in the magical surroundings of The Gallery, our Afternoon Tea shifts and changes over time, so there’s always something new to discover. On any given day in the kitchen, our pastry team are at work behind the scenes, dreaming up new sweet and savoury delights for the menu and working their magic with a wealth of artisan ingredients. Enthused by the shifting seasons, the newest menu is inspired by the elegance and colours of the summertime gardens of the Manor House. Just as each and every flower growing on the estate is tended with care by our devoted gardeners, all of the items on the Afternoon Tea menu have been created with painstaking delicacy and attention to detail by our chefs.
Traditional favourites like golden scones and the chequerboard Battenberg cake share the plate with innovative sweets like the Lady Choux, a fanciful take on a profiterole which captures the flavours of summer through delicate aromas of Rose and fresh Wexford strawberry mousse. The richness of our dark chocolate and peanut butter Brownie finds a counterpoint in the Posset, with its tart lemon jelly and soft velvety cream. Rounding out the sweets is a beautiful peach and almond tart, bright as a burst of sunshine.
Our savoury bites include an array of delicate sandwiches featuring some of the most impressive produce our team discovered on their culinary road trip: Doonbeg Dressed Crab and Duncannon Smoke House Salmon, Truffle Hen’s Egg Mayonnaise made from free range eggs delivered to us each morning by a nearby farmer, and local Braised Limerick Ham.
It is a great privilege to have a culinary team who pours so much creativity and thought into everything they do, and an honour to share their gifts with the guests who join us every day for a taste of something extraordinary.
